Be At Your Peak

Part of our mission at Surf and Yoga Retreats is to live a balanced, sustainable, and healthy lifestyle.   So besides offering retreats where we have the opportunity to fully immerse ourselves in an amazing surf and yoga lifestyle for one or two weeks (or longer if you’re really lucky), we decided to create a Facebook Group where we can challenge ourselves to do this any day of the year!  (It may sound a bit overwhelming, but we’re going to give it our best shot!)  It’s called: Be At Your Peak.

We’re aiming to help raise awareness, raise our consciousness, and inspire everyone to live a life they WANT and choose to.

“And how are you going to do that?”  You might be asking.  Well, we believe there are two key components to be successful in this challenge.  They include:

SELF-AWARENESS: “conscious knowledge of one’s own character and feelings.” We need to understand ourselves! We need to be able to recognize first WHAT we’re feeling, and then WHY we’re feeling this way. Being able to recognize feelings is the first step in making changes to the way we feel, and eventually being able to make choices in our lives that lead to feeling good. Which leads us to self-discipline.


SELF-DISCIPLINE: “the ability to control one’s feelings and overcome one’s weaknesses.” Once again, if we are in control, that means we can choose happiness. We can choose health. We can choose the life we want to live and the person we want to be. I know, I know…easier said than done!

We’re going to focus on ONE healthy habit each month where we’ll be putting these components into practice, so we can be our best selves and spread the health, happiness and spirit of adventure.
